Throughout term one the 10th grade World History II classes worked diligently learning about the Middle Ages through the Renaissance time periods. Each student had multiple checkpoints that they had to accomplish to successfully create their final product for their project based learning (PBL) this term. The students persistence and research ability led to some pretty interesting final products.
Term one’s PBL final product was in the form of a rap/poetry battle. Each student picked a famous artist, architect, or writer from the Renaissance time period and researched their life ranging from their accomplishments, successes or lack thereof. Once they completed their research they worked together with another classmate to organize their own one on one rap/poetry battles. Overall the students did a great job and were able to showcase their skills.
Overall the PBL was a success and the students had fun with the battles and hopefully have created a memory that will last a lifetime. Each battle was filmed for reference and a final short mix clip was produced by volunteers from each class. Please see the links provided below to see a short video for each class.
