I am Yeong Seo Bak and I am in 11th grade Art class
Everyone has different poses for their portraits. Why did you choose to pose yourself like that for your portrait?
At first, I really had no idea which poses to do because we took a picture all of sudden. Then one of the things I hate is pigeons and I suddenly thought of that so i was like ‘okay let’s make the face when i am looking at the pigeons’. I don’t think (my pose) shows my intention that well. But still, that was what I tried to do.
What was the most difficult part of this project?
For me, making it look like me was really difficult because from the base drawing, it just didn’t look like me. So that was quite frustrating, but still I think it turned out okay.
For your individual art project, will you use same or similar method again? And Why?
Probably not, the method was okay but I want to try other materials because there are so many materials I haven’t used before.
From your art piece, with which part were you satisfied for the most?
In the beginning I could see the texture of the hair then as I fill it up more, it started to look like a black patch. I actually like my lips and my nose, they blend with the picture well.
And how about, with which part were you satisfied for the least?
I think the forehead, because lots of people had pointed out that it looks like i am bald.
Finally, please give your final words to the audience of the exhibition.
We tried really hard, so take times to look at it (the exhibit). We really tried hard.
