On Wednesday, January 11 CDS played host to the Conquerors of Pyeongtaek. The team welcomed back sophomore SG Taeho Kim who had missed the entire season due to a broken finger. After a slow start he started to catch fire for the Phoenix, igniting the team play in the the 3rd quarter. He finished the game with 20 points, a new personal career high. At the other backcourt position, sophomore PG Phillip Yoon recorded the first triple-double in CDS history, notching double digits in three statistical categories and finishing the game with 11 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists, and 6 steals. It was a great all around game for Phillip as he is the newly crowned co-captain of the team. With the two strong performances, and 16 points and 9 rebounds from co-captain Jace Kang, the Phoenix won handily by a final score of 64-26. CDS will next take their up tempo offence to in-conference rival Dwight to play on Friday. Fire up Phoenix!
