On Friday September 30th, the boys came out victorious against Pyeongtaek and did so in true volleyball style. From the get-go, the Phoenix boys played like men, finally displaying what the coaches have been preaching to them from day one, being a dominant team in championship form. Playing with a great amount of confidence and making fearless calls, the men left a huge statement on the floor as they clicked on all cylinders; serving up aces, picking up tips and loose balls left, right, and center, setting on point and putting the ball in play when it wasn’t, placing freeballs in the pocket corners making it difficult for the Conquerors to get to, and spiking through the ground. Adding two optional or drop-in morning practices have tremendously helped The Phoenix men as they have finally risen above the ashes, created an identity for themselves, and become a force to be reckoned with. Let’s get it! Next game is against...wait...IT DOESN’T MATTER!
